I KNOW

I KNOW!!

This morning it was brought to my attention that many within my own Latino Community are not in support of me and what I was trying to do for Aida Guzman, in other words they were hoping that this protest was not a positive turn out.  It might not have been the hundreds of people who promised to come out and support Ms. Aida Guzman but…we came out there together…ALL PEOPLE.

It was even told to me how many Latinos within the Police Department are very angry with what I am doing and saying.  I now know more than anything that I am not safe.  If someone would try to hurt me, would they help to protect me?

Shame on those who would support any abusive cop!  So, you cannot handle the truth!  Your angry because I decided to write about my story and how many within the police department knew of the abuse, even my own Latino brothers and sisters!!!

Let me make this very clear to my community of all people…I will not stop what I am doing to help and support all victims and survivors of abuse by POLICE!!  You cannot stop me from speaking out!  I am free…Free to help others.

Believe me; this is so disappointing to hear how some within the Latino Community are not pleased with me or my work.  There is no more that can be done to me other than just taking my life…I will continue my journey for all PEOPLE!
God bless all my people!!

PROTESTING IN SUPPORT OF AIDA GUZMAN

PLEASE ALL COME AND JOIN US ON MARCH 1, 2013 AT 12:00 NOON ON THE EAST SIDE OF CITY HALL IN PHILADELPHIA, PA.

PLEASE JOIN US WITH SIGNS AND AMERICAN AND PUERTO RICAN FLAGS TO PROTEST AGAINST JUDGE DUGAN AND JONATHAN JOSEY and all the abusive cops that are part this corrupt system of justice that permitted Josey to assault Aida Guzman and considered the same video evidence that is considered legitimate evidence when regular defendants are charged with a crime as insufficient evidence to charge Josey with assault.  Do not allow him back on the force.  Send a message to all the corrupt cops.  Invite other to protest for all Victims Of Police Abuse!!!

WE ARE REGISTER VOTERS, DO WE COUNT?

Allow me to share...I have been voting since I was 18 years old. When President Obama was sworn in as our first African American President, I thought my vote counted. When he won re-election, I truly felt in my heart our vote counted...71% of the Latino vote went to him...Do we not count? When my case went to trial against a State Trooper, I believe in the justice but...He was not found liable for dragging me with the police car...Do we count?! Is there justice for us?

THE JUSTICE SYSTEM CONTINUES TO FAIL US!

Today I celebrated my 53 birthday, I awoke to Birthday Wishes and Love. Sadly, this is the one year anniversary of Treyvan Martin, being murdered by Zimmerman. This afternoon as I sat here and thanked many of my friends for the well wishes, a BREAKING NEWS CAME OVER OUR Action News Channel 6, in Philadelphia, PA. Lt. Lindsey was acquitted by Judge Patrick Dugan for punching Mrs. Aida Guzman in the face. I sat here and cried! I cried for the parents of Treyvan, I cried for Aida. I cry for those who continue to hope for justice. We do not count. Our legal system in this city and state of Pennsylvania has failed us. The state of Florida continues to ignore the truth. Where is the justice for Treyvan? Where is the justice for the many? I have been asked what I am doing to help others….I feel so helpless, many are afraid to speak out!!! The Justice System would rather turn the other cheek instead of doing the right thing. God help us all! Author Rosaura Torres

NO JUSTICE FOR SURVIVORS OR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

NO JUSTICE FOR SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE Today I contacted the US Attorney General Office. My reason for contacting them is because I am in great fear for my friend Jennifer Graves, who husband Lt. Cornel David Graves from the Glasgrow, Kentucky Police Department was arrested for assault and Domestic Violence. I spoke to a Ms. Pamela Fernandez from the Domestic Violence Department at the US Attorney General’s Office. I feel more lost than ever. They are unable to help her, only information that was given to me was a phone number 502-6955382; for the State of Kentucky who is given grants for domestic violence. I pleaded with her, there has been so much cover up within many states when it involves a Police Officer. I emphasized that many are not surviving and we need help. I want this to be known if something should happen to my friend, sister and survivor and her children, Know this that, I begged and pleaded for them to help her. Please pray for her safety.
