The Years have come and gone and this year has been a bit sad but…I realize that I must release those who would want me to hate.  So with the love of our God, I release you with love. 

I do not hate nor do I want any harm to come to me ex-husband Keith R. Sadler or the trooper Anthony Suber who have permanently damage my vision.

I will not keep silent for I know the Great Spirit has given me the will to stand strong for myself and for anyone who needs me to stand with them.

POWER OF A POLITICAN

This afternoon I asked Michael a question?  “Why do people run for political office?”  As usual Michael gave me a long speech LOL and then I heard the word I wanted to hear….since the beginning of the political parties such as, Democrats and Republicans it has been about POWER.   Not the people. 

Many of us voted for an amazing man, President Barack Obama.  For years our President has tried to do right for the people now of course many of you will disagree with me but…it as clear as the blue sky that many run for political office for power, not for the people of this country.

So think and listen real hard to those who only care for POWER before you decided to vote for them because they are only for themselves.

This weekend I am honored to say that I spoke on a panel with wonderful Advocates against Domestic Violence but....I realize that deep in my soul there has been a question that continues to haunt me.

September 27, 2002 was the day that will live with me always. In April 2012, the jury would not hold Retired Pennsylvania State Trooper Anthony Suber liable for my injuries. 

Another year has come and gone.  Every day I think of the victims who do not survive abuse by a Police Officers, State Trooper, Sheriff, Politician, Lawyer, Doctor, Judge and we must not forget the Powerful men and women, who hold high position within many communities. 

Do we think of those who have survived, many suffer from heart disease, hyper tension (High Blood Pressure), diabetes, arthritis, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Many still live in fear, many people ask why?  Imagine being threaten and your abuser saying to you, “no one will listen to you.”  Then realizing they are right, those who were supposed to protect you ignored your cries for help.

Coming to the reality that my cries went on death ears, I decided to write and publish my story of abuse by a Philadelphia Chief Inspector (Keith Sadler) and a Pennsylvania State Trooper (Anthony Suber).  Abuse Hidden Behind The Badge.

Until our Court System stops protecting these horrible abusive men and women, each year of my anniversary of the horrible abuse from these powerful men who, caused me retinal detachment, I will remind them, you did not break me, I survived.  I am a warrior for all victims and survivors of Domestic Violence and Officer Involved Domestic Violence.

Tonight my daughter Olympia is one of the bravest women I know.  Derange and sick people of her neighborhood and yes these are adults who wanted to hurt my thirteen year old granddaughter Iliana.  They literally came up on my daughter’s porch and tried to put their hands on my Granddaughter.  Even my, grandson Sincere, grabbed for a sick and hammer to protect him mother and sister, God bless my babies.

My daughter dialed 911 and a police officer badge number 6419 from the 25^th District, came out to the scene of the incident.  These crazy derange people ran off before the officer arrived.  The response that my daughter received from this officer was that there was no crime committed!  WTF, no crime was committed because my daughter stood her ground.  As an officer of the law, you are supposed to bring peace!  I know for a fact that the 25^th district has a community officer.  To the Philadelphia Police Department, do you know why people do not trust you, why we have lost faith in you, with your idiotic comment you made to my daughter (“NO CRIME WAS COMMITTED.”)  How dare you…we as citizen of Philadelphia are supposed to trust you!!  My daughter Olympia is a tax payer and a good decent human being, not because she is my child but because of the love she has for her father and the badge, she respect’s the law.

 

I decided to head over to the 25^th District and I spoke to Corporal Graham, she listened but….will I truly get any satisfaction, I cannot answer because, my faith and trust in our Police Department is very low.

So, to the 25^th Police District, next time you send out one of your officer’s to speak to a resident of Philadelphia and a tax payer think twice before you open your idiotic mouth. 

To Commissioner Ramsey, what training do your officers have in dealing with the community?  God help us all!

After speaking with my sister Mary Lou, I got up the guts to write this!  Lord let me come out and say it hahahhah, you will always be an abuser.  No title (POLICE CHIEF ) you hold in life will ever change the fact you are an abuser. 

No matter where you go in life, you will always be an abuser!  The children are adults now and they see through all your nonsense, lies and crap! 

You made excuses not to be a part of their lives!  I remember that horrible saying, I constantly heard from you, out of sight out of mind does not work; you will always be an abuser!

You and your dysfunctional family did nothing but abuse emotionally, mentally and verbally but…They have become strong positive, wonderful people!  Yes our children.

I may not hold the title of Chief of Police or I am more important than anyone but…One thing I am and will always be remembered as a WARRIOR an award winning author.  You will never be able to take that from me! 

Until our God decides to take me and after I am

gone, people will remember me how I was determined to help the victim, your history is of an abuser, nothing else.

Last night before I went off to bed, I had a discussion with gentlemen on Facebook, which of course we could not agree because of the love and respect I have for our President Obama.  

As the Reverend Al Sharpton and other leaders are preparing to continue the dream of the 50^th anniversary in Washington, DC march of 1963.  Dr. Martin Luther King gave his memorable, outstanding speech, I HAVE A DREAM.

For some time I have been watching the news media and many of our politicians speak on our President Obama, how many want to impeach him!  So many Americans want to compare President Obama to President Nixon, are they out of there minds.

Many Americans want to blame President Obama for the killing in Benghazi, is he responsible for the killing of our American men?!  NO!  The country of Benghazi does not want us there, who are we kidding many countries do not want us there! 

Is President Obama responsible for the bombing in Boston?!  NO!  Two sick young men are responsible.  Is President Obama responsible for the war in Iraq?!  NO!   Is our President Obama responsible for the chaos in Egypt, NO!

   

I feel many are afraid of the change that is taking place in our country, I never dreamed in my lifetime I would have the honor to see the first African American President sworn in, this will be a day I will cherish for the rest of my life. I am praying to see the first WOMAN President.

We will not go back to the 1800’s! How dare anyone take away are voting rights!  How dare North Carolina continue to disrespect Americans there, you have no right to take away our VOTE. This is not about entitlement, we deserve just like every other AMERICAN.

I say I am not political but…I realize I am…I am a fighter against Domestic Violence and Officer Involved Domestic Violence…Yes that’s right, FIGHTER. Will this plague ever end, not in my life time; I will not give up for those who are afraid to speak out!

It’s been an amazing enlightenment since I decided to write and tell my story of abuse by a Philadelphia Police Officer and a Pennsylvania State Trooper.  I have been attacked, criticized and judged by some, not all.  It has amazed be that this sort of abuse continues for many SURVIVORS.

I've had old buddies of my ex calling me bitter, vindictive, evil, yes I was called a bitch but then I have been contacted by other Police Officers within the Philadelphia Police Department, sharing with me how they remember what happened to me, how my ex was being investigated by Internal Affairs and how it was squashed.  Just having confirmation by those who knew of the abuse I suffered and who many continue to suffer. 

The Philadelphia Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Department and our Pennsylvania courts have left me with some very deep sad memories of mistrust.  No matter how you tried to break my spirit I stood strong. 

I am a proud Latina Woman who refused to stay silent.  I want to thank those who have been there for me and many who could not come forward because out of fear of retaliation, believe I understand.

The struggle continues for many who are afraid of speaking out against their abuser!  To my sister’s out there, I was just recently speaking to my wonderful friend Deon and I had a flash back, for years I would cry when my husband felt he was loving me, for years I thought giving of myself was the way to gain a man’s love.  NO!  I learned to love and respect me and I want you to do the same for yourself, you are all Queen of God.

Lt. Josey, the scumbag caught on video ruthlessly punching Aida Guzman in the face, has just got his job back with full benefits and back pay. You can thank the FOP for the arbitration. How are we, as a community, allowing this violent psychopath to go back on the streets of Philadelphia to police us? It's an insult.

As I come to the anniversary of my father’s death my memory of that time will always be with me.  Many of you who have lost their parents know exactly how I feel.

My cousin Ben Torres is an amazing, wonderful cousin.  The love and support I received from him will live with me always.  Cousin Ben, you never made me feel less, I will always cherish that time in my life.  You loved and cared so much for your uncle Ismael Torres.

My children, George Sadler, Moses Sadler, and Olympia Howell, will always remember the love you and Sandra your wife showed us!

OUR CHILDREN

As far as I can remember I never heard a President of the United States speak of the problem of the injustice towards many black and brown people of this country. 

President Obama has addressed our country and as I sat in awe; it was emotional for so many because since President Lincoln many would rather ignore the truth how we as a people have not moved forward.  Many like Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Medgar Evers  and so many more have stood up for all people but still we struggle for EQUAL RIGHTS!

 Why should we live in fear for our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren?  The past and the present horrible INJUSTICE in this country towards people of color is just too much! 

We have come too far; to ignore the truth of RACIAL PROFILING in this country.  This is not about entitlement but what all people deserve and that is equal justice! 

The STAND YOUR GROUND LAW must be removed from all STATES!!  After what happened to our young son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin; Trayvon Benjamin Martin and many more of our love ones, many will continue to use that law to kill!  This must be removed, for the sake of all people.

JUSTICE FOR ALL PEOPLE!

Yesterday afternoon a gentleman reached out to me with problems of his neighborhood, I have been non-stop reaching out to those in office and the Police Captain.  As I continue to emphasize, I am not a politician; I am a concerned citizens for all people.  I am an ACTIVIST/ADVOCATE, as a member of Justice For All Committee.

 I will never give up for those who feel justice does not hear their cries. 

I do not wish to become of a politician but…I will continue to work for all people.  It does not matter what district or city I live in, I will continue to work until the Great Spirit tells me no more…May you all be blessed!

FALLEN SON TRAYVON MARTIN

Today I sat and watch the testimony of Trayvon Martin friend Rachel Jeantel.  I listened as she said “Trayvon was being watched by a Caucasian man and how they thought he was a rapist.  I cried when she cried.  She told him to run and he did because Zimmerman was following him.  

He continues to follow Treyvon.  My young daughter Rachel was the last person to speak to him; he was running for his life.

I cannot help but think of my nephew Angel, as he was walking home they, took his life.  Just listening to Rachel testimony left me in tears; my heart goes out to the family of our fallen son.  I pray this jury does the right thing, for the sake of all people.

informed, so....They complained that no one was out 

there to support Aida Guzman...this time...we tried to 

be there to support her....Again, not informed 

correctly.



I saw people at a friend's service for a friends father, 

why didn't they say something to me there?! What am

Today was the arbitration hearing for Lt. Josey.  It was informed to me by Hiram Carmona, that there would be a conference room available for those who would be in support of Aida Guzman as she testifies to the board of Arbitrators.

I, Jordon Winquist, Lee Kurtz, and Samuel Morales headed up to the 16^th floor at 510 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA.  As we stood in front of the receptionist, she informed us that there is no conference room and we would not be permitted to wait in the receptionist area.

We decided to wait and see what the outcome of this hearing.  A about a half an hour later, Quecty Lozada, and Oscar Rosario who was also there but….was allowed to sit in the receptions area. 

This has left me so disturb and baffled.  I am not lost for words because I am writing my experience today.

I will let you judge for yourselves.

It has been informed to me by Hiram Carmona that, yes, we are allowed to be at the arbitration hearing of Lt. Josey.  Hiram spoke with the secretary and she told him, they are preparing a couple of conference rooms to hold the folks, who will be attending. We need to get there extra early!

I sit here today with a heavy heart.  It amazes me how the system continues to fail so many sisters, brothers and our babies.  My respect and compassion go out to our sister Aida Guzman.  Many would rather blame, shame and guilt her because she was at a Puerto Rican Festival for her people.  So many continue to, make excuses for this horrible man, (Lt. Josey.) 

Lt. Josey will get his job back, just like so many who have abused their power, as a LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER.  Allow me to make myself clear, we may be ignored but…we will not keep silent.  I personally will continue forward, the abuse Aida Guzman suffered is far from over, for so many others.  There is a sister or brother who will fall victim of abuse by police. 

We must do our very best to help and support any victim of any abuse!

It does not matter to me what, our courts, judges, district attorneys, prosecutors say….The truth is as clear as day.  You will never convince me and so many more how much you have failed us.

Keep your head up high my brothers and sisters.  We must stand together for JUSTICE.

Daily has posted an article in the settlement for the abuse Aida Guzman suffered. The committee respects her decision. We the people are moving forward for justice for all. The abuse she and many have suffered must STOP. This will happen again, we must emphasize to our COMMUNITY, POLICE DEPARTMENT, POLITICIANS, JUDGES AND SO ON WE WILL NOT CONTINUE TO TOLERATE THIS INJUSTICE FROM OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT.
